Wow. I don’t usually write review but this is too much. I just bought The Biggest Loser kinect product today and boy does it suck.

The routine are fine, the graphics are fine and the program is fine. The problem is with the control. It’s very clumsy. And it’s not because of kinect because I have another game that is very responsive. This product look like it was rushed out. The controls are horrible. The navigation is really bad. You get lost in endless loops. And there is no way to exit the game.

I want my money back. Do not buy this product unless there is an update that will correct the situation.

I don’t understand people’s frustration with the navigation. I was able to get through the menus just fine. Not only that but I also got my second workout yesterday and it was great! I like their approach, it’s a fitness game with great tracking (so far) not gimmicky or a game that tries to appear as a fitness experience when it’s not. I just want everyone to know that I spent 2-3 minutes in the menus and 55 minutes working out.

For anyone who is wanting to start or maintain a fitness program you should get this game. First I’ll tell you the bad things about the game. The visuals aren’t real pretty to look at. Especially since it’s a Xbox360 game, cmon!!! The motion sensor seems to be a bit too sensitive when you navigate the menus. You’ll find yourself over-pointing to something on the screen you didn’t want to choose. This problem even hurts the tracking the game does with your workout and will tell you from time to time that your not doing things the right way. It takes some getting used to and you can overcome it, but still you should know about it. Here’s what the game does right. Once you deal with the clunky setup things become surprisingly easy every time you log in. The kinect recognizes your face so all you have to do is start your fitness program. It sets you up with a body scan that is pretty accurate and can let you choose to either follow a recommended plan or choose one of your own liking. The exercises will have you breaking a sweat and working hard to keep up. Besides the list of over 120 different exercises the game also provides you with an in depth support network to keep you on track for your goals. Fitness challenges, video diaries, healthy tips, healthy recipes, scheduled workouts, caloric intake suggestions for your specific goals, and scheduled weigh-ins all leave this game in a category of it’s own. If this sounds like a game it isn’t. Think of it as more of a tool to help utilize your fitness goals. If that sounds like something you are looking for then do yourself a favor and buy this game today.
